Original product description

The Ring Piston Pump Type Micro C is a positive displacement pump designed for a versatile range of applications and is available in stainless steel. It consists of two unique assemblies. The hermetically sealed drive of the pump and the ring piston principle of the pump chamber.

The drive is hermetically sealed without a mechanical seal and without a magnetic coupling. A stainless steel bellows comple of the pump and the drive. The patented drive system is available with various monitoring systems.

The ring piston principle, which gives the pump its name, consists of a piston and a cylinder that form the pump chamber.

The ring on the piston separates the pump chamber into 2 chambers, which alterna The principle of the ring piston pump is available in various designs: The Ring Piston Pump of the Micro C series corresponds to the design of the SLC series with all its advantages and applications.

The Micro C series was developed for a flow rate range of 2 l/h – 760 l/h with a possible maximum differential pressure of 15 bar. The drive contains no oil for lubricating the bearings and the shaft, but grease. This has the advantage that in the event of a bellows failure, no oil can enter the product.

Due to this type of drive, the pump is hermetically sealed. Since the pump was also designed without a mechanical seal and without a magnetic coupling, maintenance costs associated with replacing the mechanical seal are eliminated. This pump is frequently used as a dosing pump for adding smaller quantities.

The ring piston principle allows for a constant volume flow, as the same amount of product is conveyed through the pump chamber with each rotation. The precise volume flow and automatic wear compensation enable dosing even when using abrasive media.

The pump is dry self-priming, meaning it does not need to be filled with product or medium to start. The pump is capable of dry running even in ATEX areas. This pump size also finds its application as a laboratory pump.

Construction features: • Housing made of stainless steel • Bellows made of stainless steel • Optional with heating or cooling jacket • Connections DIN11851 DN20, 1/2" BSP, 1/2" NPT or Clamp DN20 • Static seals made of FKM or FKM coated with PTFE • Volume flow 2 to 760 l/h • Wide viscosity range from watery to highly viscous Approvals: • TA-Luft • ATEX • Pharma/Food: 3A and FDA • EHEDG Advantages: • Hermetically sealed, without mechanical seal • No magnetic coupling required • Dry self-priming • Sucks from vacuum • Capable of dry running • Well suited for shear-sensitive products • Double bellows • CIP-capable
